Service Styles

St Mary’s offers a wide selection of services on Sundays and weekdays. Liberal catholic in tradition, we welcome everyone who is seeking to explore and celebrate faith and life in a busy world. The Eucharist is very much at the centre of our worship pattern, but other forms of service are offered as well. Do come along and join us – we would be delighted to welcome you.

Every Sunday we offer activities for families with children, alongside the Parish Communion. We also have a vibrant Choir, which leads the singing at this service.

Here are a few pointers to the various services on offer each week:-

Daily Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer – 9 am & 5pm
A short said service which prays for the community and the needs of the world.

Parish Communion (Common Worship – Order 1) – Sunday 10am
A cotemporary language service with choir and organ – our main Sunday service.

Refreshments are served in the Community Room near the church after the service.

Holy Communion (Book of Common Prayer) – Wednesdays. 9.45am & Sunday 8am
A traditional language said service with a short address

Evensong (Book of Common Prayer) – Sunday 6.30pm
A tradition sung service, but on occasions it may be said.

Special ‘one off’ services are celebrated from time to time, usually on a Sunday evening (please check Calendar).
