The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin – Great Shelford
Please be advised that all public services are suspended until further notice. The church will remain open for visits and prayer and facilities will be available to leave prayer requests.
Morning and Evening Prayer will be held at 09h00 and 17h00 each day and a Eucharist celebrated on Sundays at 10h00. People are welcome to sit in church for these times of prayer, but are asked to exercise great care by sitting apart and using hand gel. Unfortunately, we are not at this time able to offer Holy Communion, but by joining in the service in the nave worshippers will be able to spiritually make their communion.
A warm welcome and thank you for visiting our website.
We are an inclusive Church of England parish church and we try our best to give a warm welcome to everyone. Whether you are looking for information about the church and its activities, or want to explore the Christian faith, we hope that you find our website useful.

This text is on display in our porch and it sums up well what we try to offer:-
If you are curious
and have come to see
If you are weary
and have come to rest
If you are grateful
and have come to give thanks
If you are hurting
and have come for comfort
If you are listening
and have come to pray
If you are seeking
and have come for answers
We welcome you in Christ’s name!
