Foodbank

We support the Cambridge City Foodbank with a monthly collection at the church.  In addition we run a Village Food Box directly from the Church porch and we rely heavily on donations from others in the village to provide for those who need it most. We happily accept any donations of anything you can spare – tinned soups, pasta, etc are excellent to donate. Families and individuals in the village are always welcome to – and do regularly – take from the box when they need it. Food is a priority, but sanitary products and soaps, shampoos, etc are appreciated too.

Here are some suggestions of the best things to donate, both for the Bank and the Box but anything you can spare is greatly appreciated:-

  • TINNED MEATS, FRUITS & VEGETABLES
  • FRUIT JUICE – LONG LIFE 1 LITRE
  • INSTANT COFFEE – SMALL JARS
  • PUDDINGS – LONG LIFE – SPONGE PUDDINGS, TINNED RICE PUDDING, ECT.
  • MILK – LONG LIFE, NOT SOYA/ALMOND ETC.
  • MICROWAVE RICE (NOT UNCOOKED RICE)
  • JARS OF PASTA SAUCE
  • TINNED TOMATOES
  • TINNED POTATOES OR INSTANT MASH
  • TINNED FRUIT
  • SWEETS – CHILDREN & ADULT
  • SNACKS – CRISPS, NUTS FRUIT BARS ETC.
  • PASTA—PENNE, FUSILLI ETC. – MAX PACK SIXE KGS.
  • PACKETS OR TINS OF INSTANT CUSTARD
  • BISCUITS
  • JAMS & SPREADS
  • GRANULATED SUGAR – 500 GRM PREFERRED OR 1 KG
  • COOKING OIL – 500 ML PREFERRED OR 1 LITRE
  • INSTANT NOODLES
  • PASTA ‘N’ SAUCE MIX

Small sizes are preferred.

The Foodbank welcomes financial donations as well, as cash enables the organisers to purchase food and fuel vouchers which are a great help to families at present.

Many from around the village take from the box whenever they need it, however donations are always needed to keep the box full.

Anyone willing to support the Foodbank effort is welcome to donate through the giving link here:

Thank you for your support!
