St Mary the Virgin

Are you new to the church or the area? If so, you are very welcome!  Do pay us a visit

We are a group of ordinary people who believe that church is a great place to make friends and experience God together. We are a family who believe that church should not only be great fun but also a place where lives are radically transformed.

We are seeking to make the church a place to drop into for solace and space during the week.  Do come in and look around at the historical features of the building, some dating from Saxon times.  We have historic information to read, and photographs of the church interior to view.  There is an area where children can come and read some books, a space to light a candle and leave a prayer request. There are books on how to pray.  There is also a book stall where people can bring books and buy books at a small charge or donation.

We are very grateful for all donations, large or small. Each donation makes a difference and can help put our Parish Church on a sustainable footing for the future. There are a variety of ways you can give. These are detailed on our Giving page.

:  You can make a one-off donation by Debit or Credit card. The option to Gift Aid is included automatically.
:  Please consider giving regularly through the Parish Giving Scheme. The option to Gift Aid is included automatically.
:  By direct bank transfer or regular standing order. Please contact us for details and a Gift Aid form if you are eligible.

Thank you for your support.

The Friends of St. Mary's

We continue to be thankful for the work of the friends who concern themselves with fund-raising for maintenance and improvement of the church buildings. In a building as old as ours there will always be repairs and renovations required.
